By: GWL Team | Friday, 31 March 2023

The following five inspiring CISOs and security executives have been chosen as part of the "Secured by Women" program by Lacework, the data-driven cloud security company: Ami Dave Bansal, the chief information security officer of Fanatics, Inc.; Julie Chickillo, the vice president and head of cybersecurity at Guild Education; Helen McLaughlin, the head of security enablement and culture at Mambu; Melina Scotto, the vice president and chief information security officer of Hilton; and Erika Voss, the vice president and head of cloud architecture and engineering at Capital One.

The goal of Secured by Women is to recognize the achievements of women who have been setting the pace in the security sector. The women who are being honoured are real leaders in their fields and have made the future more secure.

Meagen Eisenberg, CMO of Lacework, said that the women who were nominated by their colleagues as part of the Secured by Women project "are reinventing security by driving innovation, problem-solving for most important digital concerns, and producing a dramatic change in the workplace."

"I'm thrilled to acknowledge all the candidates and the five recognized leaders who not only act as trailblazers in a field that is continually expanding but also as role models for young women interested in STEM. We appreciate the success and leadership of Ami, Julie, Helen, Melina, and Erika in the security industry."

The chance to attend a significant security conference of their choosing will be provided to the women chosen as Secured by Women leaders. Also, Lacework will give $5,000 in matching funds to Girls Who Code, a global nonprofit organization that works to encourage and advance the participation of women in computer science.

As part of its ongoing efforts to improve the whole business, Lacework plans to continue the Secured by Women event series beyond International Women's Month at significant industry meetings.
