Africa’s investment management institute, Coronation Group has officially announced Coronation Women Initiative Network’s (Coronation WIN) launch which is a transformative programme committed towards empowering women in the finance and technology sectors. The event was held in Lago’s Coronation Plaza that brought employees, executives and directors together from all across the Coronation ecosystem.
The event has featured musical performances along with Wana Udobang and Femi Leye’s captivating spoken words while Joyce Daniels served as the anchor. In addition, the event began with a Coronation WIN Hub’s guided tour in which guests observed everything through the innovative programme that is designed to identify, develop and celebrate female leaders. Then, an enchanting art exhibition was also organized at Coronation Art Gallery in order to showcase Ugoma Ebilah’s curated collection of African contemporary art. The key spotlight of the event was the grand launch ceremony of the network which was presided over by Aigboje Aig- Imoukhuede, the Chairman of Coronation Group and Grand Patron of Coronation WIN alongside board members and executives of Coronation entities.
Aigboje said in his statement, “Today marks a historic moment as we launch Coronation Women Initiative Network. Having witnessed firsthand the transformative power of female leadership, I am proud that Coronation is championing this path towards female empowerment. I urge women to set big and audacious goals for their professional growth, and I look forward to celebrating the collective impact and achievements of Coronation WIN.”
Additionally, Pai Gamde, Chief Talent Officer, Coronation Group and Chairperson of Coronation WIN added, “Coronation Women Initiative Network (Coronation WIN) is existential for us. It aligns with Goal 5 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, which emphasizes gender equality and women empowerment. Through Coronation WIN, we aspire to achieve these goals and create a more inclusive and equitable society.”
