Ogo Ekwueme, founder of Health LeadHer (Running from 2019), has teamed up with the founder of Black Door Society, Sharrarne Morton. This collaboration shall host the annual Diaspora Women in Health Global Business Conference which is 3 days event, starting from February 22 till February 24, 2024.
The event will take place at the prestigious Gaylord National Harbor Resort and Convention Center, United States. This event will foster diversity and empower women’s leadership in healthcare sector.
This conference is crucial for women as it aims to provide striking access to over $10 million in federal contracting opportunities to multicultural women. The women attendees of this conference will get to engage with Government leaders about future community health primacies.
Ogo, founder of Health LeadHer, says, “I’m not shy to say we are the only conference where every participant walks away with a contracting opportunity. Yes, we love to come together, talk and meet new people, but after most conferences you’re still what to do next. We’re literally setting these women up to have a successful 2024.”
Ogo added, “A lot of the women who come to our conference and engage with our program are nurses, doctors, nursing assistants, allied health professionals, public health professionals and community health workers who are in the field doing the work and know what their community needs. We need to bridge their understanding of the community with the dollars that are available to continue to support their communities.”
The 3-day conference shall give the attendees an opportunity to gain vital strategies for securing government contracts, building new business alliances and grow sustainable wealth. The event will have workshops which will focus on various topics such as wealth creation as a mother, leveraging artificial intelligence for procurement success, and securing grants for health equity and community development initiatives.
Sharrarne Morton giving remarks on the conference, says, “The great thing about this conference is that women in these spaces can actually access government health contracts, establish strategic partnerships and build wealth in alignment with the government’s critical priorities for community health. They can scale their businesses and not have to struggle so much.”
Keynote Speakers for the conference:
Michael Wooten expressed his thoughts for the conference urging attendees to know their role for augmenting healthcare access for underserved communities and wanting them to understand that there are opportunities globally in this specific domain.
He said, “I want them to understand that not only can they serve the sorely deserving women who are their sisters, but they can have a profitable business doing that.”
This conference will help several women all over the world to understand many facts about healthcare industry and how they can grow their involvement in the industry in order to build diversity and inclusivity.
