The IBI Giga Ambassadors, a group within the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ondo State, has appointed Oluwaseun Bosede Osamaye as the new Director of Women Mobilisation.
The appointment was announced through a statement released by the director general of the Ambassadors, Prof. Lanre-Olu Adeyemi.
The statement stated that in her role as the director of Women Mobilisation, Osamaye will work towards building and implementing strategies that uplift and mobilize women.
The statement reads in part: “Dr. Osamaye brings with her a wealth of knowledge and expertise in women’s empowerment and mobilization as we intensify efforts at galvanizing support and massively mobilizing for the All Progressive Congress APC in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Ondo State”.
“With a distinguished career in academia and vast experience in community development, She is well-equipped to lead our efforts in mobilizing women towards achieving the objectives of IBI Giga Ambassadors. Her strong leadership skills and ability to engage and empower women from diverse backgrounds will be instrumental in driving positive change and creating opportunities for women within our organization and beyond.”
The statement also highlighted Dr Osamaye’s prior work pertaining to advocating for gender equality and women’s rights. It further highlighted that her appointment is a reflection of the APC group’s commitment to inclusivity and diversity.
“Her appointment will ensure that the unique needs and perspectives of women are effectively represented as we work towards our mission of fostering sustainable development and promoting gender equity.”
“As the director of Women Mobilisation, Dr. Osamaye will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to empower and mobilize women, ensuring their active participation in IBI Giga Ambassadors’ initiatives. She will work closely with our team and stakeholders to design and execute programs that foster women’s leadership, capacity-building, and economic empowerment.”
“From the Ibi Giga Ambassadors and indeed the APC family in Ondo State, congratulations and warm wishes have been pouring in for Osamaye on her appointment and people are looking forward to the positive impact she will make in advancing the position of women within our organization, the APC, Ondo State and society at large,” the statement added.
