Dubai Police's all-female SWAT force excels in confrontation

At the fourth UAE SWAT Challenge 2023 in Al Ruwayyah, Dubai, the all-female SWAT squad of the Dubai Police astounded police commanders, SWAT teams, and spectators with their "amazing endurance, excellent abilities, and impressive performance."

The only female team competing in the challenge successfully established its presence and shown its capacity to aggressively participate in all challenges, including those created for SWAT teams made up entirely of men.

The Dubai Police Women's Team received praise from the leaders of the Special and Tactical Teams competing in the challenge for their superb preparation and remarkable performance during the tournament. 

They underlined that the tournament demonstrated the remarkable shooting abilities, methodical approach, successful coordination, and raiding expertise of the all-female Dubai Police squad.

Readiness:

The Bahraini squad's leader, Lieutenant Colonel Yahya Sultan Al Binali, lauded the women's SWAT team for their remarkable preparation in the UAE SWAT challenge. He voiced his respect for the women's squad, saying that he had seen the women's team in action when seeing a short video about the UAE SWAT Challenge in the theatre before the competition. 

Their expertise in moving, handling weapons, and raiding amazed him. He was surprised to learn afterward that the women's squad was taking part in the challenge. The involvement and performance of the women's SWAT unit, according to Lt Col Yahya Sultan Al Binali, caught all the other SWAT teams off guard. 

Exceptional coaches and trainers at the Dubai Police, he observed, had a beneficial effect on the team's performance and preparation, allowing them to qualify for all events. The squad's performance was praised by Lt Col Yahya Sultan Al Binali, who said that the team deserved recognition and appreciation from everyone and promised to share this experience with the Kingdom of Bahrain.

‘Dark Horse’:

First Sergeant Saad bin Ayed Al Ghamdi, the head coach of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Internal Security Forces squad, lauded the Dubai Police women's SWAT team for their outstanding performance. He described the team as the "Dark Horse" of the race and praised their remarkable preparation, self-control, and perseverance, which resulted in record-breaking performances.

Saad bin Ayed Al Ghamdi claimed that the women's SWAT squad was the competition's top performance and had won everyone's respect and trust. The all-female squad from the Dubai Police was unquestionably the challenge's "jewel," he claimed.

‘Strength & Harmony’:

It was their first time taking part in the tournament, according to Superintendent Muhammad Altazi, leader of the Moroccan SWAT delegation competing in the UAE SWAT challenge. They were drawn in, nevertheless, by the Dubai Women's Police team's performance.

He praised the all-female squad for its "amazing demonstration of strong and harmonious collaboration and worked with a sense of solidarity."

Breaking prejudice:

The Special Purpose Task Police of Montenegro's Police Director Assistant, Milos Rakonjac, noted that the women's team's performance in the competition was excellent and that it dispelled several myths about the duties of women in SWAT tactical teams and law enforcement.

In closing, he said, "I would like to use this opportunity to convey my sincere appreciation to the Dubai Police for qualifying and equipping this squad, who demonstrated preparedness and superb tactical shooting abilities as obvious from their accomplished achievements.

Burim Kadrijag, a member of the New York Police SWAT Team, remarked, "The performance of the Dubai Police All-Women SWAT squad was outstanding, and the attained results are not easy in the many contests, especially in a tournament meant for men's specialized teams."

Kadrijag was especially impressed that "the Women's SWAT squad throughout the challenge, performed similarly to males, neither distances nor weights were lowered." He emphasized the team's amazing equality in the competition before drawing it to a close.

Tactical presence:

"It is amazing to see women participating in an area that has traditionally been dominated by men's SWAT teams," said Ruy Mello, the head of the Sao Paulo Police Team in Brazil. They displayed a superb performance. The performances of the women's squad in several contests were fantastic, he continued, and "we noted that they were physically and strategically present when executing huge duties."

Team spirit:

The director of the Philippine National Police SWAT, Andreian Balpongo Bronales, affirmed that the Dubai Police Women's Team has exceptional abilities and works cohesively as a team during numerous tournaments. The squad has demonstrated its ability and preparedness to participate in a variety of contests, he said, commending Dubai Police for developing and supplying such an exceptional team.
