EDB & SLASSCOM launches 'SheExports' Capacity Building Programme

The ‘SheExports’ Capacity Building Programme has been recently launched by Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) along with SLASSCOM. The programme has been launched for Women Tech Entrepreneurs.

It is designed as a long-term capacity-building and mentoring programme that intends to empower women entrepreneurs in the ICT/BPO sector in order to take their businesses to the international stage.

The inauguration of the programme which was held at EDB has been attended by distinguished personalities that includes EDB Chairman/CEO Dr. Kingsley Bernard, SLASSCOM Chairman Mr. Nishan Mendis along with numerous Board Directors of SLASSCOM.

In addition, the event also witnessed the participation of the Shades IT Solutions Founder and CEO Shana Karan as the Guest Speaker. She shared her success story which was quite inspiring for the other participants. Talking about her valuable insights, she motivated the aspiring women entrepreneurs who attended the programme.

Moreover, this programme has been structured in a way that focuses on enhancing the skills and knowledge of tech-based women entrepreneurs while providing tools and strategies to them that are necessary to compete in the global market.

The programme has collaborated with leading ICT/BPO exporters’ industry experts to provide invaluable insights and guidance to the participants while bridging the gap between the local expertise and global market demands.
