During a 3-day training, Hajiya Nuriyya Haruna Bako, the coordinator Jigawa Women Entrepreneurs has announced that 400 women entrepreneurs have received training on driving and promoting businesses in Jigawa state.
Under Transforming Nigeria Youth Programme, the training has been organised by Entreprices Development Centre (EDC) in an alliance with 21th Century Entrepreneurs Hope with an intent to modernize local businesses.
The programme took place in Federal University Dutse at Nuhu Muhammad Sunusi Auditorium. Hajiya gave an explanation and said that the training inculcated women entrepreneurs in age group of 18 to 35. It has an aim to boost these women’s capacity, teaching them to drive their businesses. She stated, “Today Enterprises Development Centre in collaboration with 21st Century Entrepreneurs Hope commenced training of 400 female entrepreneurs in Jigawa state on ways to improve their business.”
As mentioned by Hajiya, this training has been conducted in 2 different zones with one batch in Dutse and other in Hadejia zone. The participants were selected from state’s 27 local government areas. This training programme shall help the women entrepreneurs to understand the concept of business which will give them the idea of running and scaling it through different mediums.
