It has been confirmed by Eurostat that females have a higher life expectancy, holding the longevity record in Europe that applies to all regions of EU i.e., 83.3 years in the year 2022 versus 77.9 years for men in the same year.
The absolute land of longevity of Spain, having three provinces that topped the list for the highest life expectancy for women. Amongst all the provinces, the leader is the province capital, Madrid, having an expectancy of 87.7 years which also followed closely by Navarre and Castile and Leon communities.
In addition, Madrid also counts for the highest life expectancy in Men i.e., 82.4 years as compared to the 81 for other 2 province leaders while it stands as the “longest-lived” EU region. However, one of the European Economic Area states, Lichtenstein records the highest figure for men which is included in the research, coming in at 83 years. Besides, the worst data has been recorded for female longevity withing Europe, counting 76.4 years. Mayotte Archipelago records the lowest in comparison. It is a French department. This shows that women’s health is better than men in Europe, within the provinces of EU. The stats exemplify a good life expectancy.
