Evermos, an Indonesian social commerce platform, has been recognized with the third Nikkei Asia Award for its contribution to women's economic independence in the country.

In rural cities where there are few job opportunities, Evermos has been credited with giving women jobs. Women have the opportunity to become economically independent by becoming resellers of food products and various goods.

The platform, which was established in 2018, provides food items, apparel, accessories, and other merchandise for daily consumption by Muslims, who make up almost 90% of Indonesia's population. It offers a wide range of sharia-compliant products from over 800 small and medium-sized Indonesian businesses.

Since its founding, Evermos has dedicated itself to assisting small and midsize Indonesian retailers and manufacturers. The platform has developed a system that eliminates obstacles that small and medium-sized manufacturers and retailers must overcome.

Women make up 70% of Evermos' registered resellers, most of whom live in rural areas.
