EY Honors Four Women Entrepreneurs in Singapore

EY, the professional services firm, has celebrated the achievements of four great women entrepreneurs in Singapore in a spectacular celebration of entrepreneurial brilliance. The 22nd EY Entrepreneur Of The Year (EOY) 2023 Singapore awards event recognized their outstanding achievements to a variety of industries.

This year's category award winners are as follows:

In the advanced manufacturing category, Phyllis Ong, Group Chief Executive of Armstrong Industrial, a precision engineering business, prevailed.

Althea Lim, Co-founder and Group CEO of Gushcloud International, a content and commerce firm, won the new media and entertainment category.

In the consumer products category, Yvon Bock, the founder and CEO of Hegen, a baby products firm, was named the winner.

Olive Tai, Co-founder and Managing Director of Synagie Group Asia and Europe, a supplier of e-commerce solutions, celebrated her win in the business solutions category.

To choose these outstanding entrepreneurs, the judging team of impartial experts analyzed approximately 100 nominations. For the selection process, the characteristics of entrepreneurial spirit, growth, purpose, and effect was worldwide benchmarked.

One of these extraordinary women will have the honour of representing Singapore at the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year award in 2024, where they will compete against entrepreneurs from over 60 countries. The formal announcement will take place on November 27 at the EY EOY awards ceremony.

Liew Nam Soon, EY Asean Regional Managing Partner, praised the awardees for their enduring enthusiasm, perseverance, and boldness in challenging the status quo. He also emphasized the importance of women entrepreneurs in meeting the changing requirements and wants of the marketplace, paving the path for a better working environment. This year's peculiarity is that all category award recipients are women, demonstrating the worldwide strength and promise of female entrepreneurs.
