Obiageli Ezekwesili who is Nigeria's former Minister of Education along with two other African leaders has been named as an ambassador for the Ukrainian government's "Grain from Ukraine" by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Ukraine is considered to be the top grain producer worldwide and exports roughly a third of the world's wheat and barley in collaboration with Russia. This step has been initiated to eradicate the global food crisis.

The African ambassadors who have been selected for Ukraine’s Grain program have a meeting with other officials regarding the outcomes of involving international donor partner's in the implementation of the initiative, improvement to the mechanism for receiving funds from the collaboratives, food shipment, and visits by Ukrainian delegations to Africa.
