Aiming for growth and expansion, the fashion house Sabina Bilenko, is turning to Crowdcube campaign to secure a 500,000 pounds to 1 million pounds investment, according to Women’s Wear Daily. Growth plans include boosting the brand’s visibility in high-potential such as the Middle East, U.S., and India. With 200,000 pounds already secured, the founders are making strong progress toward their funding goal.
The brand, which is led by Uzbekistani-born sisters Sabina and Diana Bilenko, has established a strong presence in the Middle East. It dominates the region with its bespoke and ready-to-wear collections, detailed embroideries, elegant and timeless designs.
Sought after by local customers, the bridal segment is a significant part of the business. Catering a high-end clientele, the brand’s most significant sales come from the Middle East, where its elaborate designs reach prices up to 150,000 pounds.
“Newly raised funds will be used to boost our sales by raising brand recognition, enhancing visibility among key buyers and media. We will be allocating the funds to digital marketing and hope to showcase our two couture collections at Paris haute couture,” said Sabina Bilenko in a joint interview with Diana.
“There is no question the red carpet has played a big part in the growth of our business. Being a couture house, it means we have the flexibility to do custom pieces and alterations very easily,” said Sabina Bilenko.
With a strong reputation in high fashion, the brand is synonymous with celebrity couture dressing. Sabina Bilenko’s design have graced celebrities like Jessica Alba, Nicki Minaj, Paris Hilton, Fan Bingbing, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. One of her most recent designs was when Camila Cabello donned a light pink ensemble at the BAFTAs in London.
“We have a loyal haute couture clientele in the Middle East and the clients we have built through couture were very enthusiastic to start shopping with the brand at a rtw level through the local retailers,” said Diana Bilenko.
