FCMB launches Fempreneur Accelerator Programme for Female Entrepreneurs

Recently, First City Monument Bank (FCMB) launched ‘Fempreneur Accelerator programme’. The accelerator is a part of the company’s SheVentures initiative. Headquartered in Lagos, FCMB was founded in the year 1982, catering in the banking industry. It specialises in Business banking, Corporate and Commercial banking, Institutional banking, Investment banking, and Retail banking.

This particular programme has been launched with an aim to enhance support in financial and non-financial terms for Women Small and Medium Enterprises (WSMEs) all across the country. It was launched in a partnership with a finance and capacity-building organisation ‘Shecluded’ that is dedicated towards women entrepreneurs.

Felicia Obozuwa, FCMB’s Divisional Head of Corporate Services and Service Management stated, “At FCMB, we recognise the vital role women entrepreneurs play in driving economic growth. Our partnership with Shecluded reflects our dedication to fostering an inclusive environment where women can thrive.”

Additionally, Shecluded Founder Ifeoma Uddoh added, “Our mission has always been to dismantle the barriers preventing women from accessing the resources they need to succeed. Partnering with FCMB allows us to extend our impact and reach more women eager to grow their businesses. We are excited about the future and look forward to seeing these entrepreneurs thrive.”
