The ninth edition of the highly anticipated sporting tournament has made a buzz all over the world. FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 is all geared up and was kickstarted in New Zealand on 20 July 2023. The FIFA Women's World Cup is an international association football competition played every four years between women's National teams and hosted by Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). The FIFA Women's World was most recently held in France in 2019. The United States won the competition, which had 24 teams, and secured the fourth overall title.

This year's tournament is going be to collaboratively hosted by Australia and New Zealand. Due to Australia's membership in the Asian Confederation and New Zealand's in the Oceanian Confederation, it will be the first ever Senior World Cup to be held across multiple confederations and the first FIFA Women's World Cup to have more than one host nation. The teams have also expanded to 32 team's which was previously 24 teams.

New Zealand will play its first game at Eden Park in Auckland on July 20, 2023, whereas the finals will be held at the Sydney Olympic Stadium in Australia on August 20, 2023.
