Fifth Third Foundation announces $300,000 Grant

In a recent announcement, $300,000 grant of 3 years has been declared by Fifth Third Foundation to the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) LIFT Financial Center of Excellence. It provides comprehensive financial support and resources to women business owners that includes education, coaching, networking and funding opportunities.

Founded in 1997, WBENC is a Non-profit organisation that has its headquarters in Washington DC. The foundation’s grant shall be administered for more than 3 years, assisting programming which directly connects business owners to financial experts and get support for their growth.

Fifth Third Bank’s vice president & director of supplier diversity, Carla Cobb stated, “Fifth Third has a long-standing commitment to advancing inclusion for small businesses and improving the well-being of our communities. We believe that our communities are stronger when all business owners have access to capital, tools and other resources they need to thrive. This support from the Fifth Third Foundation will provide important funding to enable WBENC to support more women in growing their businesses.”

Additionally, Pamela Prince-Eason, the WBENC President CEO added, “The Fifth Third Foundation grant to the WBENC LIFT Financial Center of Excellence will significantly amplify our ability to provide financial education and funding opportunities to women-owned businesses. We applaud Fifth Third Bank's ongoing dedication to fostering the growth and development of women-owned and small businesses across the country.”
