FinLiteCore, a social company, has started a pilot initiative in the Ajegunle neighbourhood of Lagos State to eradicate poverty and promote women entrepreneurs. This project aims to provide women with the financial knowledge and tools they need to grow their enterprises and enhance their financial well-being.
The executive director of FinLiteCore, Enitan Kuku-Omonijo, emphasized the ability of women to transcend poverty when given the opportunity to harness their entrepreneurial potential. She stressed that this program might be transformative not just for the women who participate, but also for their families and communities. The project's ultimate objective is to build an inclusive society in which entrepreneurs of all genders and backgrounds may access possibilities for economic advancement.
The program has two components: personalized financial instruction and grants in the form of productive assets like as equipment, tools, or inventories. This method not only increases these women's financial independence but also offers a brighter future for them.
The Director of Operations, Lizzy Edwards, stressed the importance of FinLiteCore's holistic approach to tackling the serious issue of global poverty and the economic vulnerabilities that women confront. The initiative promotes sustainable lives and economic resilience by concentrating on women in low-income areas.
The financial skills and confidence developed in Ajegunle recipients demonstrate the initiative's success in empowering women entrepreneurs. FinLiteCore is assisting these ambitious entrepreneurs in realizing their aspirations by removing barriers to entry and offering practical support. FinLiteCore is making the ideal of an inclusive and economically empowered society a reality via its commitment to financial empowerment.
