Intending to address health inequities that women face in United States, the First Lady Jill Biden unveils new set of actions with plans that involves spending a minimum of $500 million annually on health research of women.
She announced the Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting of this year in New York just before the firm honoured President Joe Biden with its 2024 Clinton Global Citizen Award. Considering the initiative, Department of Defense will be adhering to the additional government spendings that offers medical care for over 230,000 active duty military women as well as almost 2 million military retirees along with the members of their family.
First Lady said, “Women are really hungry for this kind of information,” Jill Biden said. “We don't have the answers.” The initiative taken by Jill Biden will help improvising the health with regards to women.
Additionally, Center for Disaster Philanthropy President Patricia McIlreavy stated, “With ongoing impediments to a large-scale international aid response, Sudanese community groups have become the primary frontline responders and are currently the most effective means of reaching millions on the brink of starvation. With so many lives on the line, the imperative to support local aid efforts in Sudan has never been more urgent.”
