Five Exceptional Women Entrepreneurs from Bolton & Horwich chosen as Finalists at 2023 Enterprise Vision Awards

Five remarkable women entrepreneurs from Bolton and Horwich have been recognized as finalists at the prestigious 2023 Enterprise Vision Awards (EVAS), the UK's largest business awards dedicated to women. Now in its 12th year, the EVAS celebrates women across diverse business sectors, shining a spotlight on their achievements and success.

The esteemed finalists include Claire Sofield of Four Recruitment in the Business Woman category and Jac Owen of Connect. Studio in the Customer Services category, Jackie Hyde of Stanmore Insurance was selected for the Employer award, Jill Caldwell of Endeavour as a finalist in the Inspirational Woman sort, and Kate Greenhalgh of A Year Of Dates nominated in the Best Business sort. These exceptional women serve as role models, inspiring the next generation of female entrepreneurs and making significant contributions to their community and the economy.

The Rose Review, published by NatWest, the headline sponsor of the awards, reveals a positive trend of increasing all-women-led companies, with over 150,000 founded last year marking a record high. However, despite this progress, women still represent only one-third of entrepreneurs in the UK. The EVAS aim to showcase the achievements of women entrepreneurs and encourage further advancements in gender equality in the business world.

The winners of the 18 awards, including the highly coveted Outstanding Achievement Award previously won by notable figures such as Deborah Dixon, Maggie Oliver, and Susanna Lawson, will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony held at The Winter Gardens in Blackpool on September 29th.
