Fortune Announces 100 Most Powerful Women in Business for 2024

Fortune has announced the release of its 2024 Most Influential Women in Business list, featuring 100 leading businesswomen from finance, technology, healthcare, telecommunications, retail, energy and other sectors.

Fortune magazine's 27th annual Most Powerful Women in Business list recognizes 100 outstanding leaders, including female decision makers from Fortune Global 500 companies and new entrants. The ranking covers the world for the second consecutive year and includes 12 leaders from East Asia, eight from France and the UK, three from Australia and Singapore, and two each from Spain, Brazil and Germany.

The list compiled by Fortune editors — based on the size and fortune of their companies, their career paths, their influence outside the organization, and how they wield power — includes 65 female CEOs. Some are new to the job, like Mitsuko Tottori of Japan Airlines and Bonnie Chan of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, both of whom are also the first female CEOs at their companies.

This year’s list also highlights the booming AI sector and the rise of “super CFOs” like Nvidia’s Colette Kress.

In the AI ​​field, newcomers to the MPW list are computing pioneer Fei-Fei Li and Daniella Amodei, president and co-founder of AI startup Anthropic.
