Dubai played host to one of the most amazing celebrations of femininity as the Women's World Conference, 2023, organized by Funun Arts, took place at The Metropolitan Hotel. Some of the most powerful women in the UAE, whose vision, perseverance, and hard work have inspired millions, graced the much-anticipated event with their presence.

The conference assumed a greater significance as a meeting place for women from many countries, professions, beliefs, and socioeconomic backgrounds who came together to alter how society perceives what it means to be a woman. The Women's Global Conference's main objectives were to empower women by supporting them as they rewrite their lives and envisage a brighter future.

In addition to professional panel discussions, the conference featured art displays by some of the most talented UAE artists, prizes for the strong women, a competition for visual arts, and the unveiling of Funun Arts' latest worldwide project. Before the conference began with the UAE's national song, Shiba Khan, the founder and CEO of Funun Arts, delivered a welcoming speech.

She argued that comparing men and women was pointless. She emphasized the significance of self-realization and self-improvement as essential ideas of empowerment and spoke of the need to move beyond revolutions for equality. Shiba welcomed the distinguished speakers to the stage and invited them to discuss how their decisions in life had affected their beliefs and ideas.

In the first panel discussion, the topic of "Accelerating equality and empowerment" was discussed. Dr. Eng Suaad Al Shamsi, the first Emirati aviation engineer, discussed her experiences working in an industry where males predominated. When one is given the duty of leading a team, she emphasised the necessity for strong decision-making.

Dr. Sana Sajan, head of the American Aesthetic Medical Clinic in Danube, shared her thoughts on the value of being yourself. Sajan contends that a woman's inner self is already strong and doesn't require approval from others since she is whole in herself. Initiative manager and Emirati influencer Asma Al Janahi spoke on the importance of knowing the goals and devoting time and effort to them.

According to Janahi, being a woman presents a chance to make a difference rather than a constraint. The founder and CEO of Ghaya Impact Strategy Consultants, Roberta Calarese, shared her thoughts on the impact that women in leadership can have on society by raising awareness and, in turn, opening up more chances for women everywhere. According to Dr. Eng Al Shamsi, the conviction and confidence of these women leaders serve as an example for all women.

A dance work by Team Sunarthanam that focused on the life of a lady who overcomes adversity was performed. The performance was enhanced by the use of Urdu poetry and an English voice-over that praised the woman's extraordinary journey toward freedom and self-realization.

After that was the panel discussion on the topic of "Innovation and technology for gender equality." Marjan Farjam, the Art Bank representative, expressed her happiness at having a link to both art and business at the same time. She talked about how exciting it is to be a woman on a purpose and how her passion for art keeps her inspired all the time.

Naomi D'Souza, CEO of NDigitize and Influencer, spoke persuasively on the choices one must make to succeed. She claimed that while doing so is challenging for women in society, pursuing one's interests and creating objectives are powerful in many ways.

Crystal C. Goodwin, the secondary vice principal of NAIS in Dubai, emphasized the importance of education in motivating the next generation. She emphasized that early guidance and support may act as stepping stones for women's success. Artist Yuvika Garg held an art therapy session after the panel discussion, asking the audience to sketch while shutting their eyes. The class was stimulating, enjoyable, and interactive.

The panel that followed had as its topic "The Rise of Women Is Not the Fall of Men." A businesswoman, coach, and consultant from Kyrgyzstan named Sultanat Abdykerimova spoke on the many opportunities available to women and how one's viewpoint may influence how one sees the world. The Expo 2020 celebrity Mira Singh discussed her future goals as well as the importance of early mentoring and family support.

Funun Arts also announced the publication of the book including the top 100 artists' works. The book will be published simultaneously in Dubai and the UK in September 2023. According to Shiba Khan, "This book will participate in various art festivals and biennales throughout the world and will also represent these artists at many prominent colleges."

The Most Influential Women prizes were awarded to Halima Abdullah Rashed, Dr. Eng Al Shamsi, Dr. Sana Sajan, Safiya Bari, Habiba Al Marashi, Harjyot Oberoi, Sultana Kazim, Crystal C Goodwin, Abida Hussain, Naomi D' Souza, Desiree Vlekken, Marjan Farjam, Asma Al Janahi, Roberta Calarese, Bindu C Chettur, Mona AL Assad, Petra Mueller, Shadab Khan, Reema Mahajan, Ritu Chaturvedi, Rania Ali, Fiza Khan, Maitha Al Balooshi, Sultanat Abdykerimova, and Mira Singh.

"For a very long period, we had been fostering the idea of the Women's World Conference. As two women who struggled to achieve their goals, we stand here with pride. Never is it a journey conducted alone. The Funun team is made up of thousands of women who work together to achieve one another's ambitions.

We believe that this conference has considerably improved the sense of power as women, and we should support one another along the path, adds Shiba Khan. In addition to founding Funun Arts, Shiba Khan is a well-known artist and art activist, while Farah Khan is a well-known photographer and food blogger.

The range of roles these ladies play in their life and their success in whatever they undertake may serve as a wonderful source of inspiration for everyone. The Khan sisters were granted a cultural visa in honour of their exceptional contributions to world art and culture.
