The platform, which serves 94 million Filipinos, garnered accolades for its game-changing innovations aimed at improving lives.
At the UN Women Asia-Pacific WEPs Awards, GCash was honored as 2nd runner-up in the Innovative Financing for Gender Equality category, highlighting the importance of private sector financing in advancing gender equality.
GCash was named the 2024 Industry Champions of the Year at the ACES Awards for its innovative contributions to sustainable growth and digital empowerment. The recognition highlights GCash’s role in promoting financial well-being, sustainability, and security, along with its rapid user adoption and impact on the unbanked and underbanked.
GCash’s strategic partnerships with the Philippine government were praised for accelerating the country’s transition to a cashless society. For integrating sustainability into its policies and operations, the company was also recognized as one of the Top Sustainability Advocates in Asia at the ACES Awards.
Through initiatives like GForest, GCash has engaged 21 million users to plant 4 million trees, significantly contributing to environmental efforts. The company also won two 2024 ESG & Sustainability Awards for supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
GCash received the Gender Equality and Women Empowerment Award for promoting diversity and encouraging women in tech. The World Business Outlook Awards also named GCash Best Cashless Mobile Financial Platform, Best Fintech Solutions, and Best Finance Super App in APAC 2024.
