GCash Partners with For The Women Foundation to Empower Filipino Women in Tech

With the goal of empowering women in technology, For The Women Foundation (FTW) and GCash, the top finance super app in the Philippines, have recently partnered to fund FTW's Data Science Scholarship Programme.

A 14-week free data science course will be provided to scholars in order to advance their computer professions. This programme aims to close the gender gap in technology and prepare Filipinas for careers in the highly sought-after field of data analytics.

In order to promote gender diversity in technology, GCash will offer the researchers current industry insights and employment prospects. Chief Data Officer at GCash, Sara Venturina, reaffirmed their dedication to promoting equality.

Cara Wilson, a co-founder of FTW, thinks that fostering talent and collaborating with organisations like GCash may help women get ready for careers in technology. This scholarship programme promises a 76% rate of job placement and a 154% increase in post-training wages per month.

Graduates will guide upcoming researchers, making an influence that will last. The collaboration between GCash and FTW promotes gender equality in the Philippine ICT sector.
