Germaine Nicole Gurr appointed as M&A Partner by Multinational Law Firm Sidley

Germaine Nicole Gurr has been appointed as the M&A and Private Equity Partner by the multinational law firm, Sidley in the company's New York office. Germaine is an experienced Global Corporate lawyer and as well a former executive at a Global Fortune 500 firm.

She was the Vice President and Deputy general counsel at Schneider Electric which is a Global Fortune 500 firm before she entered Sidley from White & Case's M&A practice in New York.

Having a capability of bilingual skills, Germaine has established a respectable general corporate and serves her clients and colleagues who belong to different parts of the world.

She tackled numerous types of cases which were majorly focused on private equity, joint venture and commercial transactions, capital raising, securities offerings, general corporate, and M&A. She also acts as an advisor on the legal and business considerations to global firms on the issues such as compliance and governance matters, commercial transactions, and operational structuring and management.

Sidley's Management Committee Chair, Yvette Ostolaza, and Co-leader of the firm's global M&A and Private Equity practice as well as a member of Sidley's Executive Committee, Dan Clivner were present at the moment and expressed their appreciation for Ms. Germaine.

As one of The Deal's "Top Women in Dealmaking for M&A and ILFR 1000's Women Leaders Guide for M&A in the United States in 2021 and 2022, Ms. Germaine was recognized in the legal profession. She was also selected as the "M&A Legal Advisor of the Year" in 2020. Her name was registered on both Euromoney's Women in Business Law Guide and Euromoney's Expert Guide for Corporate/M&A in the United States in 2021.
