The Global Summit of Women 2023, which will be held in Abu Dhabi on February 21 and 22 and have as its theme "Role of Female Leaders in Peace Building, Social Integration, and Driving Prosperity," is being prepared for by the United Arab Emirates. The event is being conducted to commemorate the 100th anniversary of women having the right to vote and is being organized by the General Women's Union (GWU) and the World Muslim Communities Council (TWMCC).

The summit will take place under Fatima bint Mubarak's sponsorship. She is the GWU chairwoman, the head of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and the supreme chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF). She is known as the mother of the Nation and was married to the late Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who founded the United Arab Emirates.

According to a statement by Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, chairman of the TWMCC, "[the council] believes in the crucial role women play in the globe, notably their expanding role in fostering peace and social integration, and building a more prosperous future." He also said that. Sheikha Fatima's support for the summit serves as further evidence of her pioneering efforts in empowering and assisting Emirati women, which are an outgrowth of her humanitarian work.

According to Ali Rashid, this summit takes place at a time when there is an urgent need for a global forum that fosters discussion, unites efforts and viewpoints, and finds solutions for shared problems like the gender gap, domestic violence, social and economic marginalization, and expanding opportunities for women to lead in society.

The hosting of the Global Summit of Women in 2023 by the UAE, according to GWU secretary-general Noura Al Suwaidi, highlights the UAE leadership's vision, which identifies empowering and supporting women as a top priority.

According to Noura, "the summit represents a moral commitment at the global level to adopting new, more inclusive strategies and approaches to deal with obstacles that impede the advancement of women and enhance their critical role in fostering sustainable development and advancing peace and security globally."

Numerous well-known female leaders from around the world will attend the event, providing an ideal chance to enhance international cooperation to bring about a stark change where women are more empowered to be figureheads and decision-makers, in connection with the UAE's efforts to create an environment that is supportive of women's success.

Women who have made significant contributions to politics, religion, business, society, culture, and science will be honoured during the summit. The data comes from WAM, the official news agency of the UAE.
