Global Women's Forum Dubai 2024 Brings Over 6000 Participants Together

More than 6000 participants have been brought together by Global Women’s Forum Dubai 2024, uniting in their commitment towards advancing the empowerment of women while promoting gender balance.

The 3rd edition of the forum took place at Madinat Jumeirah which was attended by prominent international figures, ministers, senior officials and representatives from global institutions as well as private sector.

The opening of the forum was attended by UAE’s Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Welcoming the participants, he emphasised the importance of the event as a platform for a dialogue on women empowerment, making sure equal opportunities for all. He also indorsed the dedication of UAE for advancing global gender balance, expressing pride in achievements of UAE.

In addition, First Lady of Türkiye Emine Erdoğan; First Lady of Pakistan Asifa Bhutto Zardari; and First Lady of the Philippines Louise Araneta Marcos also attended the opening ceremony. The signing of the Gender Equality Acceleration Pledge was hosted by UAE Gender Balance Council during the forum’s opening day which also brought leaders from some of the most influential organisations of UAE together, accelerating the women’s representation in leadership roles.
