The Graça Machel Trust has officially started applications for its Women Creating Wealth (WCW) Entrepreneurship Programme 2024 in an effort to empower African women entrepreneurs. The program, which is geared on supporting growth and wealth creation, gives critical skills, resources, mentality, and company development support to South African women entrepreneurs. The effort intends to shift firms away from income generating and toward wealth creation, with an emphasis on cultivating a dynamic business community and network.

Eligible candidates must be South African women entrepreneurs aged 18 and above who own a registered firm, have a matric certificate, and have been in business for at least two years. The annual company turnover should be between R120,000 and R10 million, with a focus on financial services industries such as accountancy, auditing, fintech, and more.

Four months of blended learning and six months of aftercare are included in the 10-month program, which includes online courses, coaching sessions, peer-to-peer learning, virtual networking, face-to-face workshops, and networking activities. After completing all program requirements, participants will get a certificate of accomplishment and an invitation to join the WCW business community.

The WCW Entrepreneurship Programme is free, but participants must have internet connection to participate in online courses. Structured training, coaching, mentorship, networking opportunities, and access to service providers will be provided to successful candidates. Participants will become part of a vibrant three-year movement dedicated to wealth generation and job prospects upon graduation.

To apply, applicants must provide a certified ID, evidence of company registration, and either a BEE certificate or an affidavit that is no more than 12 months old. The Graça Machel Trust encourages innovative female entrepreneurs to take advantage of this potential for commercial success and societal impact.
