Texas Woman's University (TWU) has decided to combine its HR and financial processes on a single cloud-based platform and has chosen Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite. TWU will be able to boost efficiency and make more informed decisions to better serve both staff and students as it continues to grow if all of its most crucial business departments have uniform procedures and data.
The majority of students at TWU are women, making it the biggest and first publicly financed institution in the country. Texas founded TWU in May 2021 as the sixth public university system in the state, with campuses in Denton, Dallas, and Houston housing 16,000 students. To better understand and manage its finances and workforce, the institution sought to break through walls across campuses as it broadened and varied its services. TWU made the decision to use Oracle Fusion Applications in place of its highly customised on-premises systems after careful consideration.
TWU vice president for finance and administration Jason Tomlinson emphasizes the importance of campus consistency and openness. Oracle Fusion apps will optimize financial and HR operations, supporting student success and positioning the university for future expansion.
TWU will be able to boost output, cut costs, and improve the employee experience thanks to Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM), and Oracle Fusion Analytics. This will allow TWU's staff to devote more time to meeting the needs of the university and its students. TWU will also use Oracle Student, a student-focused service that enables schools to boost productivity and encourage improved student results.
According to Vivian Wong, group vice president of higher education development at Oracle, "as higher education organisations adapt to changing student demands, Oracle is well-positioned to help institutions adopt more flexible and responsive business models that provide a competitive edge." Oracle Student will assist deliver cutting-edge academic programmes to address both current and future student demands, while Oracle Fusion Applications will enable TWU to centralise financial and HR procedures to keep its operations flexible.
