Enterprising Latinas, a non-profit group committed to assisting immigrant entrepreneurs, has reached an important milestone in its aim to encourage company growth among its members. The Truist Foundation has awarded the group, known for its powerful business development courses, a grant under the UnidosUS initiative.

Nathalie Quezada Warren, Enterprising Latinas' business development coach, expressed thanks for the funding, highlighting its potential to boost their efforts. "We're not just teaching theory, but also giving them the opportunity to apply what they've learned in the classroom through group work, real-world experiences, and exposure to markets," said Quezada Warren of the organization's dedication to practical learning experiences.

Angela Trochez, the founder of the AT Store, is one of the program's success stories. Trochez, a Colombian immigrant, overcame the hurdles of establishing her business in a new nation in 2020. Her passion to crafting handcrafted jewellery not only highlights her abilities but also helps Colombian single moms.

Trochez credits her success to the Enterprising Latinas business development course, which provided her with important digital skills. Despite the fact that she completed the course earlier this year, she continues to use the organization's resources. Recognizing the value of such initiatives, Trochez emphasizes the necessity of giving back, promising that revenues from November and December sales would be used to buy gifts for 45 Colombian children.

Latina entrepreneurs continue to play an important role in empowering immigrants like Trochez by providing them with the skills and assistance they need to flourish as entrepreneurs in their new home.
