Gwanda's 30 women to be honoured for Women's Month celebration

Gwanda’s 30 women are going to be honoured as part of the Women’s Month celebration on March 22, 2024. This event shall take place during a business award ceremony at Posh Boutique. The event holds the theme ‘The Future-focused Woman’ which will offer women of Gwanda, networking opportunities.

The Speakers of the event includes:

1. Mrs Marjorie Sikhundla, Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Matabeleland South
2. Ms Nokuthula Ndlovu, Christ Tabernacle Ministries founder and Chaplain of the Gwanda State University along with CEO of Pura Vida
3. Mrs Sisasenkosi Mbiabolawe, Cllr Tynathia Moyo CEO of Dollhouse and CEO of Mbiabolawe Primary School
4. Cde Fisani Moyo, Gwanda Tshitaudze Constituency Member of Parliament

Mr Honest Innocent Chenjerayi, the Sundrive Coalition representative exclaimed that the event shall celebrate the women who has set high bars in numerous sectors. He said, "As we are celebrating women's month, we saw it fit we saw if fit as Sundrive Coalition to honour women who have taken a stand to bring development to their communities. We will be honouring women in various sectors be it business or corporate.”

Mr Honest added, “Women have made significant strides in developing the community in various sectors such as health, education, mining, agriculture among others. Their work has to be celebrated and recognised. Women also need platforms to interact and network so that they can learn from one another and inspire each other.”
