Harrell Design + Build's Mountain View Grand Opening

On October 26, 2023, Harrell Design + Build, a pioneer in the home renovation business, celebrated the official opening of its new Mountain View site. The company, which was started over 40 years ago by Iris Harrell, a trailblazing woman in the home construction industry, is now an employee-owned enterprise run by CEO Lisa Sten.

Local residents, municipal authorities, and celebrities such as Mayor Alison Hicks and Mountain View Chamber of Commerce CEO Peter Katz attended the grand opening celebration at 2284 Old Middlefield Way in Mountain View.

The recently refurbished 12,720-square-foot property, which was previously home to Art and Frames Unlimited, features a 7,000-square-foot showroom with full-room exhibits and a variety of home interior items. The room is intended for seminars and community activities, giving customers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to interact with the items.

Harrell Design + Build, which is now entirely employee-owned, employs around 50 people and occupies little more than half of the facility. The remaining area is leased to other companies, which helps to revitalize Mountain View.

The CEO of Harrell Design + Build, Lisa Sten, stressed the significance of the return to Mountain View, calling it their "forever home." Despite the obstacles of the COVID-19 epidemic, the company's rich heritage, devotion to personal service, and attention to clients' demands have fuelled its sustained success.

Harrell Design + Build had significant revenue growth, pulling in $14 million in 2021, because to a strong demand for house remodels. In 2022, the firm relaunched as Harrell Design + Build and began a year-long makeover of their new facility, establishing a home design showroom aimed to boost the aesthetics of the area.

Mountain View Mayor Alison Hicks and Chamber of Commerce CEO Peter Katz hailed Harrell Design + Build's return, highlighting its role in rejuvenating the Middlefield neighborhood and helping to the city's efforts to attract companies back to the community.

The grand opening was a watershed moment in Harrell Design + Build's history, reaffirming the company's dedication to quality, innovation, and community involvement.
