H.E. Hanan Al Mahmoud & Wafa Taymour Assume Key Leadership Roles in Sharjah, Spearheading Sports & Development

Her Highness made a deliberate initiative to revitalise sports and community development. Sharjah Women's Sports Chairperson Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohamed Al Qasimi has made important nominations to key leadership posts. H.E. Hanan Al Mahmoud has been appointed Vice Chairperson of Sharjah Women's Sports, and Wafa Taymour has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre (JRCC), both of which are effective today.

Hanan Al Mahmoud's career has been defined by a trailblazing record in leadership roles and projects that have sparked the expansion of sports and community development. Hanan's excellent career speaks loudly about his significant knowledge in sports administration.

Her term as a Sharjah Sports Council Board Member from 2016 to 2020 demonstrated her expertise in strategic planning, particularly as she chaired the Investment Committee, promoting policies that bolstered regional sports growth. Her efforts to the Arab Women's Sports Tournament as a member of the High Organising Committee demonstrated her expertise in event administration. Hanan's dedication to developing sportsmanship and community participation was obvious throughout her tenure as a member of the Sharjah Sports Family Award's Board of Trustees between 2017 and 2022.

Hanan's participation in creating the award's strategy and recognising excellent performances is critical as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Sheikha Jawaher Al Qasimi's Award for Sports Excellence. Her recent appointment to the UAE National Olympic Committee in August 2023 demonstrates her commitment to sports and gender equality.

Wafa Taymour's promotion to Chief Executive Officer of Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre demonstrates her skill in operational oversight, strategic business direction, and distribution network remodelling.
