Him For Her, a social impact venture tabled a Commitment to Action at the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) 2023 Meeting. The initiative is aimed at solving gender diversity challenges on corporate boards. CGI brings together global and emerging leaders to create and implement solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.
Talking at the event, Him For Her CEO and Founder Jocelyn Mangan gave her commitment to ensuring that the country’s foremost public and high-growth private companies would have a critical mass of women directors in the next ten years.
“Board diversity is completely solvable,” said Jocelyn. “The solution is simple, though the work isn’t easy.”
For Her works towards diversifying boards by providing visibility to overlooked talent in full partnership with the business and investment community. The venture has a network of 7000 women which includes women of color. Talent is connected with CEOs, directors and investors looking to build their boards.
Till date, Him For Her has partnered with over 100 leading private equity and venture capital firms to provide networks and make board introductions to their portfolio companies. In March, the venture announced that owing to its efforts women had been appointed to 100 board seats out of which 40 percent were women of color.
“By diversifying the networks of those in the boardroom, and with the support of the Clinton Global Initiative, we will solve board diversity once and for all,” said Jocelyn.
