HRH Ambassador Reema bint Bandar Al Saud, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to the United States, has been nominated to oversee the International Women in Defense program at the next World Defense Show 2024 in a ground-breaking effort. The February event, under the patronage of His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, aims to highlight and emphasize the crucial contribution of women in the defense sector.

As part of the larger aims established in Saudi Vision 2030, HRH Ambassador Reema emphasized the Kingdom's commitment to increasing women's contributions, notably in defense and security. The project has already made significant progress in empowering women and integrating them into diverse areas within the Saudi labour market.

HRH Ambassador Reema expressed her delight for the Women in Defense program, stating that such efforts reverberate internationally and reflect the Kingdom's commitment to women's empowerment. The program will honour significant female leaders from throughout the world while also addressing difficulties and discussing the worldwide effect of women in the military sector.

The fourth day of the exhibition will focus on the critical role of women in global defense, stressing their contributions to the area. HRH Ambassador Reema presided the inaugural event in 2022, which drew industry heavyweights such as General Dynamics' CEO, Ms. Phebe Novakovic, and Rolls-Royce North America's previous CEO, Ms. Marion Blakey. The Women in Defense event at the World Defense Show 2024 aspires to be a global forum for encouraging diversity, highlighting accomplishments, and stimulating conversation.
