I-Train Africa, an edutech social company, is preparing to hold the 'The Leading Women' edition of the Global Mentorship Conference (GMC) on October 14, in Lagos, in order to inspire women entrepreneurs and professionals across Africa.
I-Train Africa convener and founder Aderinsola Adio-Adepoju stated her organization's commitment to solving the systematic concerns of women's underrepresentation in numerous industries and organizations. GMC 2023, with the theme 'Nurturing Half of the Global Population to Lead,' intends to bring together more than 30,000 women from 40 African nations.
Over 40 speakers from 20 countries will provide participants with the opportunity to network and receive mentoring assistance. Adio-Adepoju underlined the accomplishments of African women in recent years, notably in senior management and corporate board participation, and the importance of GMC 2023 in furthering this trend.
The event is in line with I-Train Africa's aim to help the United Nations achieve Sustainable Development Goals 4, 5, and 8. Gregory Pepper, CEO of the Potentialife Foundation, stated his support for the conference and sponsored a 13-week free leadership training for 2,000 women who participate actively.
GMC 2023, according to Adio-Adepoju, is more than simply a conference; it is a transformative journey toward smashing glass ceilings, building new routes, and rethinking leadership paradigms for African women. The event promises instructional workshops, hands-on resources, and networking opportunities, emphasizing its commitment to positive change and empowerment.
