Two new initiatives have been launched by Hela Cheikhrouhou, the Regional Vice President for the Middle East, Central Asia, Türkiye, Afghanistan, and Pakistan of IFC. These initiatives focus on promoting workplace inclusion in addition to aiding create the jobs across the region.
The 1st initiative is named as Care Arabia which is an IFC-led regional World Bank Group initiative that has a key aim to increase participation of female labor force just by assisting the growth and nurseries sustainability in the early childcare sector.
The 2nd initiative is named as 1001Stars which is also led by IFC and proclaims to bring 15 companies together from 7 different countries across from the Middle East, Pakistan and Afghanistan. It shall assist in job creation in a sizable number as well as provide training opportunities.
Hela Cheikhrouhou stated, “Inclusion means empowering women, elevating young bright minds, and embracing the vulnerable -- it also means giving them equal opportunities in the workplace. IFC aims to unleash the power of the private sector as a catalyst for job creation and we are excited to be launching flagship initiatives in partnership with pioneering companies to collectively achieve this objective.”
These two initiatives shall aid women from across the region to get better opportunities along with a comprehensive participation into the sectors.
