IFIC Bank Launches Initiative to Girls' Technological Advancement

IFIC Bank, a leading financial institution in the Republic of Bangladesh celebrated the "World Telecommunication and Information Society Day” and facilitated girls to build a technological advanced future generation. On the occasion, the bank launched the "IFIC Bank Stands Beside Women in Technological Advancement" campaign.

IFIC Bank lays emphasis on empowering women in technology in today’s age of digital transformation. Their new initiative is also geared towards providing young women the necessary technological skills required to succeed in today’s modern world, said a press release.

IFIC Bank launched the initiative at the Chittagong Government Girls High School. Under the initiative, the bank provided essential resources including two computers and 120 books to the high-school. These resources are critical tools for students to discover the wonders of technology.

The ceremony was attended by Nazimul Haque, chief manager, Agrabad Branch; Fariha Haider and head of centralized retail marketing department. The acting headmistress of Chittagong Government Girls’ High School, Moriam Begum along with other bank and school officials were also present at the launch of the campaign along with hundred school students.

Md Rafiqul Islam, Deputy Managing Director, IFIC Bank said, "We believe in building a prosperous society through increased female participation and technological expertise. This initiative is a stepping stone towards empowering women and propelling them further in the technological field.”
