Fatemeh Mohajerani will be the new Iranian government’s first female public face after being appointed as the Masoud Pezeshkian regime’s government spokesperson. During a cabinet meeting, President Pezeshkian has made the appointment.
Priorly serving as the Technical and Vocational Training Head at University of Shariati (for women) in the 11th government, Fatemah is a 54-year-old woman, having acquired Doctor of Business Administration from Edinburgh.
In the year 2017, Seyyed Mohammad Bat’hai (then-Education Minister) has named Fatemah as the head of the Center for Brilliant Talents. In addition, Shina Ansari has also been appointed by President Pezeshkian to Iran's Deputy President as well as Head of the Department of Environment.
An experienced environmental specialist, Shina carries a work history in environmental services, skilled in waste, RCRA, sustainable development, and environmental compliance. Replacing Ali Salajegheh as head of the Department of Environment, she will be taking up her new position.
The appointment of both the women serves as a motivation for other women to also pursue what they desire and foray towards their dreams. Later on, they can also become a female leader and would be acquiring senior leadership roles in the future. These two women have proved that females can give a tough competition to their male-counterparts.
