Indian Prez meets UAE Crown Prince; Praises Women's Participation in Emirati Society

President Droupadi Murmu says that women-led development can result in more efficient socioeconomic growth, as demonstrated by India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). She commended the government of the UAE for making sure that more than 35 lakh Indian citizens were taken care of during the COVID-19 pandemic. She underlined the benefits of women's leadership in a variety of fields and how this leads to socio-economic development. She commended the government of the UAE for supporting laws that advance women's empowerment and gender equality, proving the viability of development driven by women.

At Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi, the president made statements while meeting with Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of Abu Dhabi. Murmu expressed happiness at the high rate of female participation in Emirati society as well as the contribution of women-led growth to socioeconomic advancement. During the Crown Prince's visit, she also saw agreements for expanding partnerships. She underlined the engagement of the third generation of UAE leadership and underlined the significance of people-to-people contacts in the historical and prospective bilateral relationship with the UAE.

The statement mentioned, "Both leaders agreed that India and the UAE have societies with a syncretic and multicultural heritage and that the path of peace, tolerance, and harmony shown by Mahatma Gandhi and H. H. Sheikh Zayed, are deeply imbibed in our national character."
