During the ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Network (AWEN) Board Meeting’s opening ceremony, Secretary of State for the Ministry of Women’s Affairs Kry Nallis remarked that making investment in women’s entrepreneurship and strengthening the economic empowerment and cooperation along with public-sector partnerships are significantly important and that can act as an effective way for promoting gender equality while reducing poverty.
The opening ceremony which was organized with an intent to review the work progress of the network along with future plans. While presiding over the event, Kry also emphasised the crucial essence of expanding the network, building broader opportunities within the market.
She stated, “It remains crucial for us to direct our attention to market diversification, access to resources and technology, enhanced competitiveness, foreign investment, knowledge transfer, and the enhancement of supply chain integration, all of which are pivotal for ensuring stability, inclusive growth, and sustainable development, thereby yielding considerable dividends for peace and prosperity within our ASEAN community.”
While expressing her sincere appreciation, Kry Nallis congratulated CamWEN and the AWEN for their efforts towards organizing Pinnacle Entrepreneur Forum and AWEN Award 2024. This forum has acted as an eye-opener for many.
