Jazz, Pakistan's major internet operator, has collaborated with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to develop the Women Initiative in Social Entrepreneurship (WISE). This joint endeavor intends to empower 413 women social entrepreneurs in 12 locations throughout Pakistan by providing them with critical business knowledge and skills for managing long-term social businesses.

The WISE program, a four-day interactive effort, focuses on the fundamental aspects required to develop successful enterprises. Jazz and UNDP hope to promote not just viable social companies, but also to contribute to larger economic empowerment and social innovation goals for women by teaching important business expertise.

WISE's transformative capacity building, according to Jehangir Ashraf, UNDP Pakistan's Youth Economic Empowerment officer, has impacted participants such as Laraib, the owner of Laraib Cosmetic and Makeup by Laraib. Laraib praised Jazz and UNDP for their dedication to women's empowerment through projects such as WISE.

Jazz's Head of Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility, Fahad Rehman, stressed the company's commitment to CSR by actively supporting women empowerment projects. Jazz's holistic approach to encouraging good change includes educational programs, vocational training, and business possibilities for women.

Jazz and UNDP cooperated on SDG Bootcamps in 2020 to foster social innovation and entrepreneurship among Pakistani youth, with women entrepreneurs accounting for 40% of participation. WISE, according to CEO Jazz Aamir Ibrahim, will generate chances for financial and digital inclusion, aligning with Jazz's objective to better the lives and livelihoods of women in Pakistan via technology.

The relevance of the digital arena in fostering gender equality and economic development was stressed by Samuel Rizk, UNDP's Resident Representative in Pakistan. Jazz and UNDP are collaborating to achieve good development indicators in inclusiveness and gender equality via creative enterprise and technology.
