At the 19th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business in Las Vegas, Joanne Colely was announced as the recipient of an international Stevie Award.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business recognise and reward female CEOs, business owners, employees, and the organisations they lead on a global scale. The Stevie Awards have been praised as the top business honours in the world.
The Stevie Awards, so titled after the Greek word for "crowned," were given out to winners at a gala celebration that nominees and their guests attended at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. Livestream was used to webcast the event.
This year, more than 1,500 entries were submitted for review in more than 100 categories, including Women Helping Women, Company of the Year, Startup of the Year, Executive of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, and Women Run Workplace of the Year.
Joanne Colely, an Australian artist and international best-selling author, won the Female Thought Leader of the Year award for her work on the joint book "Journey to Riches - Transform Your Wounds To Wisdom."
said Joanne Colely. "I was told I wasn't good at art for ten years, but I persisted. But as time has gone on, I have now used my paintings to raise $200,000 for numerous organisations throughout Australia.
"Winning this award is an enormous honour, and I appreciate the Stevies acknowledging my efforts," the winner said.
"In its 19th year, the Stevie Awards for Women in Business received an extraordinary body of nominations from women in companies of all types, in 27 nations," stated Maggie Miller, president of the Stevie Awards. We appreciate how significant winning a Stevie Award is to women and how it may affect their organisations' and professions' prospects. All of this year's Grand, Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award recipients are congratulated on their accomplishments.
