Kele Boakgomo founded 'Yugrow' to expand into Asia

The South African behavioural leadership training platform, Yugrow looks forward to expand into Asia. The platform was co-founded by Kele Boakgomo and is dedicated for women. The expansion intends to address unique societal as well as cultural challenges of the region.

Founded in 2018, Yugrow caters in the Technology, Information and Internet industry with its headquarters in Johannesburg, having specialities in Growth Index, Behavior Tech, Intelligent Coaching, Mental Health and more.

This platform has been designed for women which promotes growth through a robust support network, personalised micro-actions as well as intelligent coaching while featuring seasoned female executives.

Kele Boakgomo stated, “With many countries in Asia being considered emerging markets, including China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Thailand, we feel that we can leverage not only our expertise in the developing world but also cutting-edge technology to help upskill woman so they can take on leadership roles. By leveraging AI, we feel we can help companies undertake quantifiable measures for their leadership training without being burdened by excessive costs.”

Adding to the statement, she said, “AI algorithms analyse data from coaching sessions, identify patterns and tailor programmes to individuals’ areas of opportunity. It also provides data and insights about the women on the programme that enable quality conversations on career opportunities. Our goal is to serve women on a global scale, building a successful tech business out of Africa that inspires other female entrepreneurs. We believe technology is the ultimate equaliser.”
