Kholoud Saqqaf underscores Investment Environment Law

During a dialogue seminar, Kholoud Saqqaf, the Minister of Investment has stressed on the Investment Environment Law that includes provisions which has been designed in order to enhance the roles of women in investment. This can happen by making sure that equality as well as fairness is for all investors.

In addition, Jordan Forum for Business and Professional Women had organised the seminar in a partnership with the South African Embassy. During the speech, Kholoud has also underlined about women being included in the Investment Council, having granted the equal rights along with opportunities as men.

Agriculture, cosmetics, and creative industries were some of the key sectors that has been included during the symposium where women are active. It focuses on women empowerment while promoting diversity as well as sustainable economies building.

As per Kholoud, the law provides additional incentives that are solely for the projects employing Jordanian women specifically with a focus on less developed areas, aiming to increase women-led projects’ count.

Moreover, Jordanian Business and Professional Women Forum President Reem Baghdadi also put emphasis on the significance of the symposium in building empowerment cooperation alongside growth between Jordan and South Africa.
