The Kingsport Chamber Foundation has launched a women entrepreneurs-dedicated center because of a federal grant, funded by U.S. Small Business Administration Office of Women’s Business Ownership funded.
The federal grant shall hold up the launch of the Appalachian Highlands Women’s Business Center. In addition. Kingsport is amongst those 17 countries that got the grant. The new centre shall aid and assist women entrepreneurs with training and counselling while securing clients for federal contracts in addition to helping them in securing access to credit.
Ted Fields, Kingsport Chamber Chair and Executive Vice President said, “We are so thrilled to announce the formation of the Appalachian Highlands Women’s Business Center here in Kingsport, Tennessee, a critical new business entrepreneurship enterprise program that will be housed at your Kingsport Chamber.”
Kingsport Chamber’s Kingsport Office of Small Business Development and Entrepreneurship’s (KOSBE) lead, Aundrea Salyer exclaims that she has helped numerous women entrepreneurs to start their business. She said, “I’ve always been passionate, especially about helping women business owners. It was something that I brought up on my job interview 18 years ago. So for me, this is a big moment, all the women that will be able to serve with the program.”
This new centre for women entrepreneurs shall help them in the business sphere and allow them show their hidden leadership and managerial skills to the world.
