Korea Women's Business Association announces Park Chang-sook as 11th Chairman

Following the regular general meeting of Korea Women's Business Association, it announced the appointment of Park Chang-sook as the 11th chairman. Currently, she is the CEO Changwoo Textile Co. The meeting took place in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul at CCMM Building.

Her tenure will be effective from January 1, 2025, continuing for the next 3 years. She was elected by KWEA with support of registered delegates as majority. In addition, Park is the fabric manufacturer Changwoo Textile’s representative while being the first ever woman CEO to serve in the domestic knitting industry.

She stated, “After living as a businessman for 34 years, I was able to grow a company and myself through the activities of the Women's Economic Cooperation. I will create a bigger and stronger association with change, challenge, and harmony.”

She added, “As a businessperson for 34 years, I have grown my corporation through my activities with the KWEA, and I will create a bigger and stronger KWEA through change, challenge, and unity.” Moreover, she joined KWEA 10 years back i.e., in the year 2014, serving as the KWEA North Gyeonggi branch’s second branch president for 3 consecutive years i.e., from 2016 to 2018.
