Kuwait ranks 1st in Middle East in Hologic Global Women's Health Index 2025

A remarkable ranking has been achieved by Kuwait in the Hologic Global Women's Health Index’s 2025 edition, being placed 1st in the Middle East and 2nd globally. This 2025 edition is the fourth annual edition of the report which has been prepared by Hologic with the cooperation of Gallup.

Founded in 1985, Hologic, Inc. caters in the Medical Equipment Manufacturing industry with headquarters in Marlborough, MA, having specialities in Breast & Skeletal Health, Diagnostic, GYN Surgical Solutions, and Medical Aesthetics.

In addition, Gallup was founded in 1935 that caters in the Business Consulting and Services industry while having headquarters in Washington, D.C. It specialises in Strategic Consulting, Global Attitudes and Behaviors, Leadership and Development, Strengths, and Management Consulting.

As a comprehensive tool, the index serves dedicates itself for assessing women's health across in over 140 countries worldwide. It evaluates the health of women based on 5 key sub-categories i.e., preventive care, emotional health, views on health and safety, basic needs, and individual health. The index compiled 146 participants’ surveys in 142 countries with an offer of a detailed snapshot of women's health worldwide.

In the index’s overall assessment, Kuwait scored 67 points, securing the 2nd position globally. It was just behind Taiwan that has been ranking first from the past fourth consecutive year, having with 68 points this year, resulting Kuwait as the leader in the Middle East and the world of Arab.

Considering the points of Kuwait, the score decreased by 1 point in comparison to the edition that published last year, showing notable improvement in certain areas. The country also recorded a 23 points’ significant increase in the "Preventive Care" category, scoring 94 and 90 points in the "Health and Safety Options" and "Basic Needs" categories.
