The opportunities expansion in favour of female entrepreneurs has been discussed in Kyrgyzstan during the Advisory Council meeting on Women's Entrepreneurship in the Ministry of Economy. The meeting summarized the program results for assisting female’s business since 2022 while outlining plans for 2025 that also includes new condition creation for the involvement of women in the economy of the country.
In addition, Gulshat Asylbayeva, the Deputy Minister chaired the event while it was attended by Jogorku Kenesh members who are the government agencies and business associations’ representatives. The event was also attended by the coalition ‘Demilgelү Aymdar’ which is current working on the women entrepreneurships’ development.
The meeting prioritised one of the most important proposals i.e., preferential financing introduction for female entrepreneurs. The allocation possibility of a separate item in the national budget was also discussed by the participants, aiming exclusively at assisting female business along with the gender statistics publication in the business sector for situation’s more transparent monitoring.
Being the first country in Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan has legislated the concept of “women's entrepreneurship”, as per MP Kamila Talieva. She also emphasised that this concept has opened new horizons for women in business while underscoring the continued government support’s importance in increasing the employment of women in the economy, involving through targeted funding from the budget.
