Jordan Dargue and Helen Oldham have launched Lifted Ventures, a breakthrough angel investment network committed to promoting female-founded firms in the North of England. Lifted enterprises, founded on studies revealing the greater revenue creation of female-led enterprises, strives to transform the funding environment for women entrepreneurs.

Jordan and Helen bring a wealth of expertise to their current business, having fostered early-stage investment and community building in the past. After facilitating over £450 million in investment and assisting hundreds of entrepreneurs, they are set to transform the narrative surrounding female entrepreneurship.

Lifted Ventures launches at a key moment, with startup finance highlighted as a significant barrier for female founders. The network aims to close this gap by establishing a diverse investment community dedicated to delivering cash, knowledge, and mentorship to female-led entrepreneurs around the area.

Co-founder Helen emphasized the necessity of moving the focus away from imbalance and toward opportunity, highlighting the demonstrated economic benefits of supporting female-founded enterprises. Lifted Ventures' bespoke Angel Education Programmes seek to provide investors with the skills they need to make educated decisions and promote the success of female entrepreneurs.

The network will officially open on February 29 at the Shine Workspace in Leeds, with backing from The British Business Bank. The event, titled "No More Talking," will feature guest speakers who will discuss the benefits of investing in intersectional female founders as well as ideas for creating long-term change in the investment sector.

Lifted Ventures, including keynote speaker Joanne Dewar, a renowned player in the fintech business, and closing remarks from Leeds City Council CEO Tom Riordan CBE, is set to have a huge influence on the future of female entrepreneurship in the North of England.
