An America actress, Lily Gladstone has made history for the 2nd time in 2024. She won the SAG Awards 2024 for ‘best female actor in a leading role’ in USA’s Los Angeles. She is the first Native American woman to win an award in this category. Lily was awarded for her role in 'Killers of the Flower Moon' as Mollie Burkhart which was director by Martin Scorsese.

Lily Gladstone also won the Gloden globes this year and secured her name as the first Native American woman to win this award and on top of that she gave her speech in her native Blackfoot language. Apart from these two awards, her career includes Critics Choice Award nomination and she is the first Native American nominee for Best Actress at the Oscars too.

She won the award while competing with other actresses in the same category. Some of the other nomination for best female actor in a leading role includes Annette Bening for Nyad; Carey Mulligan for Maestro; Margot Robbie for Barbie; and Emma Stone for Poor Things.

In her accomplishment, she said, “My friends, fellow actors, I feel the good in what you have done -- what you do. This has been a hard year for all of us. Those in this room, those not in this room, I'm so proud that we have gotten here in solidarity with all of our other unions.”

She added, “It's truly a gift that we get to do this for a living. That's the win. It was getting to be here; it was getting to be on set. It was getting to tell stories. It's so easy to distance ourselves. It's so easy to close off, to stop feeling, and we all bravely keep feeling, and that humanizes people. That brings people out of the shadows; it brings visibility.”

Her victory will be marked in the history. Congratulations to Lily Gladstone for her accomplishment from GWL Team.
