According to news reports, Linda Yaccarino will become the next CEO of Twitter as of 5th June, since Elon Musk wants to concentrate more on Tesla and SpaceX.
Joe Benarroch, an executive vice-president at NBC Universal, has also been hired by Yaccarino, the former chairman of global advertising and partnerships at NBC Universal, to work alongside her at Twitter.
Benarroch has been Linda’s go-to advisor, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported late on 4th June.
In the memo that the WSJ was able to receive, Benarroch said that "tomorrow, I start a different professional adventure at Twitter, taking on a role focusing on business operations."
He continued, "I am excited to bring my skills to Twitter and to work with the whole team to develop Twitter 2.0 together.
Linda declared last month that she is ready to work with Musk and the platform's millions of users to construct Twitter 2.0 and overhaul the company.
"I've been moved by your resolve to create a better future for a long time." On Twitter, she stated, "I'm delighted to help bring this vision to Twitter and transform this business together."
"This platform's development has my full attention. For that future, YOUR OPINIONS ARE ESSENTIAL. I'm present at all times. Together, let's establish Twitter 2.0 as we continue the conversation, Linda said.
Musk is eager to collaborate with Linda to develop the platform into X, the all-encompassing app, similar to WeChat in China.
At NBC Universal, Linda was in charge of around 2,000 employees. Her team established collaborations with businesses including Apple, Snapchat, BuzzFeed, Twitter, and YouTube and produced more than $100 billion in ad revenue.
